East Prairie School has secured a wonderful opportunity for our community's youngest learners: the Illinois Preschool for All (PFA) Program . This grant-funded initiative is designed to provide high-quality early childhood education to all children, particularly three- and four-year-olds, at no cost to families who qualify.

At East Prairie, we are proud to offer Preschool for All, which serves our families by providing access to high-quality early learning experiences. This program plays a vital role in preparing children for success both in school and in life. This school year over 90% of our families qualified for tuition-free preschool. 

Why is Preschool for All so important?
Preschool for All is more than just early education. It’s about providing children with the foundation they need to thrive. Through fun and engaging activities led by certified teachers, children develop essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. These skills are necessary for success in school, as well as for life.

Who can join?
The program is available to all children ages 3 to 5, with priority given to families who may benefit the most, such as those from low-income households, English language learners, and children with special needs. We strongly encourage all eligible families in our district to apply, as Preschool for All is a fantastic resource for setting children on a path to success.

What can you expect?
Preschool for All classrooms focus on learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. With small class sizes and individualized attention, your child will receive the support they need to thrive. The program follows the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, ensuring that all children are well-prepared for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
