Pre-K & Kindergarten Enrollment/Registration

We are thrilled to welcome our youngest learners to the East Prairie community!

NEW preschool students: Enrollment forms are on paper and can be acquired at one of our in-person enrollment events (see below), picked up in the school office, or printed from our website. They will be accepted after 2/26/25.

NEW kindergarten students: Enrollment is completed online. A simple pre-registration form can be accessed at an in-person enrollment event (see below) or online after 2/26/25. Once approved by school staff, you will receive an email with further instructions about creating an online account and completing the registration forms.

RETURNING preschool - 8th grade students: you will receive information for re-enrolling your child in March. This will be done online.

In-Person Events*
Wednesday, 2/26, 4pm - 7pm

Saturday, 3/1, 10am - 1pm

Friday, 3/14, 9am - 11am

*Please bring your child’s birth certificate and a parent/guardian ID in addition to residency documents (if possible)

Parents and guardians will complete/start enrollment and prove residency. The enrollment process can still be started even if you do not have all of the documents.

Preschool Requirements

  • Children must be at least 3 years old on first day of attendance

  • Children must be potty trained

  • To be considered for free preschool: recent W2 or two recent paystubs or proof of state benefits

  • Birth Certificate

  • Parent/Guardian ID

  • $200 Non- Refundable Deposit (if applicable)

  • District 73 residency is not required but will be given preference

Kindergarten Requirements

  • Child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025

  • Birth Certificate

  • Parent/Guardian ID

  • Parent/Guardian must be District 73 Resident

In addition to the residency documents required, D73 families will be run through Tracers software to confirm residency status. Some families may be asked to provide additional documentation.

All preschool and kindergarten students require a physical from an Illinois doctor before they can start school.
