NEW STUDENTS

The enrollment process consists of two parts - registration/enrollment and proof of residency (except for pre-K students living out-of-district). Our in-person enrollment event was held on Thursday, March 21st but enrollment for new students can begin any time using this link. THIS LINK IS ONLY FOR BRAND NEW STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT ATTENDED PRESCHOOL OR ANY OTHER GRADE AT EAST PRAIRIE.

Returning preschool students who need to register for another year of preschool or kindergarten will need to either create or log in to their PowerSchool Parent account to complete the registration process. Instructions for that can be found here.

Click here for more information about required documents to prove residency.  All new students and pre-K families residing within the district will need to prove residency.

You will also need to provide your child’s birth certificate and a parent/guardian ID in addition to the residency documents.  The registration process can still be started even if you do not have all of the documents.  Documents can be attached during the online enrollment process or paper copies can be made in the school office.

Preschool Requirements

* Child must be 3 years old by September 1,2024
* Chid must be potty trained
* Birth Certificate
* Proof of Residency if District 73 resident

Kindergarten Requirements

* Child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024
* Birth Certificate
* Parents/Guardians must be District 73 Residents

In addition to the residency documents required, D73 families will be run through Tracers software to confirm residency status. Some families may be asked to provide additional documentation.

All preschool, kindergarten , 2nd, 6th, and new students require a physical from an Illinois doctor before they can start school.

RETURNING STUDENTS

You must re-register your child and confirm and/or update student demographic information yearly.  Starting for the 24-25 school year, all registrations for returning students will be done online. Further instructions will be sent in April.
